Time management
The High School Computer Camp (HSCC) is part of BDPA's SITES program. It is a 16-week program that is designed to teach high school students about current technologies including web development and principles for improving their software skills. Students have the opportunity to learn general computer science concepts, web based technology and the fundamentals of team building and leadership. Students learn how to design and develop websites using HTML, Javascript, VBScript, and MySQL. The top students who excel in the program receive the opportunity to compete against students from other BDPA chapters in our regional area, as well as at the BDPA National Conference.
IT Showcase
Since it's inception in 1984, the Annual BDPA National Information Technology Showcase allows student presenters from educational institutions all over the United States to showcase their research papers by presenting and demonstrating their research. It is designed to acquaint young students with research techniques, advanced mathematics, emerging technologies in computer science and telecommunications, computational science, geographical information systems (GIS), robotics, and public speaking.
